No. DressWell runs entirely in your browser — no account, no app. Photos are stored on your device (IndexedDB) and nothing is uploaded to our servers. If you add your own OpenRouter key, photos you AI-tag go directly to OpenRouter under your key.

Yes. Every item's dominant color is extracted offline and a built-in stylist engine assembles color-matched, occasion-appropriate outfits with zero setup. Add a free OpenRouter key to unlock AI photo tagging and richer AI-reasoned suggestions.

How does DressWell pick outfits?

Accepted Answer

It combines color harmony (complementary and analogous pairings, with neutrals anchoring bold colors), category completeness (a top and bottom or a dress, plus shoes and layers), and fit for the occasion, weather, and your personal attributes.

What should I photograph?

Accepted Answer

Individual clothing items — a shirt, trousers, shoes, a jacket. Flat-lay or on-hanger shots work best. You can also try the sample closet to see it in action instantly.
